The Erasmus+ Logistics Guide

Digital Detox Team

If you've ever wanted to travel to Germany but looked at your bank account and sighed, you need to know about Erasmus+. The "Digital Detox" project is a prime example of how the EU helps young people see the world without going broke. Here is the lowdown on the logistics for the upcoming trip to Osterholz-Scharmbeck.

The Money Talk

Here is the best part: Accommodation and food are 100% covered by the Erasmus+ Programme. You stay at the KulturHaus and eat three meals a day (plus coffee breaks!) for free. For getting there, there is a travel budget based on where you are coming from.

For example, participants from Türkiye get up to €395 for travel, while those from Spain, France, Romania, and North Macedonia have a limit of €309. If you are eco-friendly and take "green travel" (like a train or bus) within Germany, the budget is €285. Just remember, no taxis allowed for reimbursement—you have to stick to public transport or economy flights.

Packing Essentials

Since the project runs from November 12-20, the weather in Germany is going to be... crisp. You need to pack warm, comfortable clothes because you will be outside a lot for nature walks. Don't forget the basics like towels, shampoo, and flip-flops for the shower.

Also, even though it's a digital detox, you should bring a camera and one laptop per country group for the creative sessions—just don't expect to be glued to them.

The Culture Shock (The Good Kind)

Beyond the logistics, the real value is the cultural exchange. Every national group has to prepare for the "Intercultural Evening". This is your chance to show off your country's music, traditions, and stereotypes (and debunk them!). You'll be mixing with people from six different countries, practicing your English, and learning way more than you ever would sitting in a classroom.

It's an adventure that looks great on a CV, but feels like a holiday with friends.
